Listen 2 The Music - Beatbox Battle Competition

This 23rd of August, Natasha Studio will be organising its first Beatbox Battle Competition. Held at Claymore Hill (5mins from Orchard MRT Station), it'll be a small 1vs1 Beatbox battle, with our resident faculties Stitch and Dharni judging the competition. Purpose of this competition is to have the beatboxing scene reach out to everyone who is interested and provide a clearer understanding from two of the scene's most influential beatboxer. Along with this event, Dharni will be conducting a Master Class Workshop from 3pm to 4pm on the same day as the competition, 23rd August 2009. Line-up of L2TM Beatbox Battle Competition includes the following: - Master Class workshop by Dharni - Open Mic - Beatbox Battle (Open To Public) - Guest Dance Performance - Guest Beatbox Performance Here are the details of the Competition: COMPETITION DETAILS: Venue: Natasha Studio (DanceOnUs Studios) Date: Sunday, 23rd August 2009 Time: 4pm til 630pm Admission: SG$5.00 Participants of Master Class workshop will be entitled to complimentary entry into the event. See you all at the next Jam. GUEST JUDGES Dharni & Stitch RULES & REGULATION A. Admission and competition participation is open to the public. B. 1vs1 Beatbox Battle will be open to maximum of 16 individuals. First 16 individuals to EMAIL will participate. C. Elimination Round will consist of a 2min run for each Beatboxer. The top 8 beatboxers will proceed onto the Quarter-Finals. Henceforth, following battles will be of a knock-out system. D. Each beatboxer will have 2 runs per battle, thus each battle will have a total of 4 runs. Battle will be based solely upon each Guest Judge's judging criteria, and is final according to the Guest Judges decision. (Exception for Qualifying rounds, whereby each beatboxer will have only 1 run (1 turn) per elimination.) E. Strictly no touching from either side during battles. F. Microphone will be shared between the competitors to ensure fair play. No adjusting of pitch / tone / treble / bass / etc during the course of the competitior. Adjustment will be made by the judge prior to the competition. G. Judges decision are final. H.
